Self-Processor CBX Server Deployment and Management

$1,000.00

Per Server. Other fees may apply

This is for self-processors migrating to CBX. CBX renders GOLD screens using HTML displayed in popular web browsers. CBX requires a web server to serve the screens to your staff. This product is required for all self-processors deploying CBX.

When you order this product, CU*Answers will setup one virtual CBX web server in your network and connect it to your production and HA IBM iSeries computers. For maximum availability, CU*Answers strongly recommends two CBX servers for your production environment, and a single CBX server for your HA environment. The servers should be physically located close to (ideally in the same building) as your IBM computers.

If you deploy redundant servers, failover between the servers is managed via manual updates to DNS records here at CU*Answers. CBX does not natively support dynamic failover between servers, and if there’s a server failure, users will need to reconnect to the surviving server. Use of a third-party external load balancer can help improve availability; however, configuration of a third-party load balancer is out of scope. If you have one, ask us if it can be used for CBX.

If you wish to deploy three CBX servers, please order three of these products. We will contact you after ordering and work with your team on the deployment strategy and locations.
