The CU*BASE Custom Training Edition (CTE) is a new alternative to the shared simulated training environment (Bedrock Community CU) currently used by all CU*Answers online clients. For a fee, you can have a copy of your own membership data set up as a training environment, available only to your credit union’s employees.
The CTE gives your team a safe place to practice using CU*BASE tools, learn new skills, and experiment with new features without potential harm to your live member data. Because it’s a copy of your actual files, both the product configurations and member accounts will be familiar and will behave like they do in your day-to-day environment.
CTE is launched via a separate desktop icon, and employees will sign on using one of the four special training IDs included in your CTE package. Daily and monthly processing will be run by our Operations team as usual, and training data will be refreshed from your live files on a quarterly basis.
Whether introducing new employees to CU*BASE or helping existing employees practice new skills, your CTE environment is perfect for keeping your team up to speed on the tools they’ll use every day to serve your members.
Need to build a new staff training program? Integrate our comprehensive workbooks that encourage repetition and practice that guide learners into practicing activities typically part of the daily routine of frontline staff. Four programs are available, Member Services, Teller, Xpress Teller, and Lending, all of which are provided FREE for your credit union to utilize in conjunction with the Bedrock Training Environment, CU*BASE Simulated Training Environment, or with your own Custom Training Edition (CTE).

Our Education Specialists reinforce the importance of the 5th Cooperative Principle of Education, Training, and Information. The purpose of the team is to guide users and build confidence in their ability to navigate and understand the system(s) they utilize.
Kasey Olchowski
Kasey Olchowski joined the network in Fall of 2012 and has over ten years of experience in the Credit Union industry. Now Kasey manages the Education Team and has been doing so proudly since October 2018. In December 2020, her and her family relocated from Grand Rapids, Ml to Las Vegas, NV as a part of the company’s initiative to bring our cooperative values to the West Coast. Kasey is invested in hiring, training, and coaching new staff at our Innovation Center and actively seeks opportunities to turn everyday interactions into a learning experience – not only for her staff but for everyone within the network.
Lani Lowing
Lani Lowing started her career with CU*Answers in 2007. However, her credit union journey started in 1992 and as such, she brings her practical knowledge into her training with clients. She loves when you hear the client say, “WOW you just made my job a million times easier!” There are so many different functions of CU*BASE GOLD that they don’t understand exists. She is open to all forms of communications! She finds each staff member responds differently with their comfort levels when asking questions.
Monica Boguszewski
Monica Boguszewski is an Education Specialist with the Education Team at CU*Answers. She is a seasoned educational professional with over twenty-five years of experience in banking, education, and training. She is passionate about educating and has a proven track record of success in training over fifty onboarding and many other existing clients while at CU*Answers. She looks forward to the ‘ah-ha’ moments that team members have while learning different aspects of their job functions.
