This service places a customized greeting message when answering calls made to your dedicated CU*TALK toll free number. This service is for clients deconverting from CU*BASE that wish to advise members of their new configurations or instructions for reaching the credit union’s new audio response system post-conversion.
NOTE: this is for clients that are using a CU*Answers provided number for CU*TALK.
Clients are responsible for providing an audio WAV file that meets the required standards (defined below) with their desired message to CU*Answers Network Services at least 2 weeks in advance of the date which the credit union would like the new greeting to take effect (go live date).
Audio files received within 2 weeks of the desired date may not be applied by the desired go live date.
Network Services only makes changes to credit union greetings on Tuesday mornings (i.e. only once per week). The credit union should plan ahead as no exceptions to this schedule will be made.
WAV file requirements:
Files must be provided to Network Services in 8 kHz mono mu-law PCM format. Network Services will reach out to you directly once we process your order with instructions for submitting the WAV file. If WAV files are not provided, additional labor charges will be assessed at the rate of $100/hr to assist the credit union in the creation of a suitable file.
NOTE: Credit Unions ordering this service MUST specify the following in the ORDER NOTES field:
- Credit Union Name
- Credit Union Designated Contact (contact at the credit union that is responsible for providing the WAV file)
- DATE you would like the greeting to GO LIVE
- DATE you would like the greeting to be taken down
